Help Us Bring Joy to NICU Parents This Mother’s & Father’s Day!
Imagine the excitement of Mother’s Day or Father’s Day approaching—the anticipation of celebrating the beauty, challenges, and unforgettable moments that parenthood brings. Now, imagine instead spending that day in a hospital room, watching your medically complex child fight for another day of life.
For many NICU parents, these special days are not spent with joyful gatherings or breakfast in bed. They’re spent at their child’s bedside, surrounded by monitors and machines, holding onto hope. We know this reality all too well. We’ve spent Mother’s and Father’s Day in the NICU, torn between wanting to celebrate and feeling the weight of hospital life. The experience is isolating, emotional, and far from what any parent envisions.
That’s why we need your help.
This year, The Brave Foundation is launching another heartfelt initiative to bring joy to some of the most dedicated and deserving moms and dads. With your support, we hope to surpass last year’s giving and provide meaningful gifts to parents spending Mother’s and Father’s Day in Minnesota’s major NICUs.
Important Dates to Remember:
• Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11th, and we hope to collect all donations by May 10th.
• Father’s Day is Sunday, June 15th, and we aim to gather items by June 16th.
How You Can Help:
We need our incredible community to rally behind these families—to remind them that they are seen, loved, and supported. Your generosity can make all the difference in turning what could be a painful day into a moment of encouragement and hope.
